ANTENNAE ENCLOSURE
As delivered from the factory, this prefabricated fiberglass enclosure is rated to withstand winds of 150 miles per hour. The task for Fairbanks Mill, Inc. was to mount it on top of the roof of the tramway station on top of Jay Peak. Working with structural engineers and the Jay Peak Ski Resort, a structural steel base was built to transfer the significant wind loads into foundations of the tram house. Components were brought up by tramway car and hoisted onto the roof for assembly. The actual enclosure was hoisted onto the roof with a gin pole system and hinges incorporated into the structural base.
